Jewish Concert Poster Question.

The poster for the yearly Chazak concert on Motzei Shabbos Nachamu came out. I have one question – why do they use such old pictures? Or the same one over and over again. The picture of Avraham Fried is the same one they always use, and it has to be at least 15 years old. I don’t know about you but most people age a little in 15 years.

The same thing goes for that picture of Shlomo Simcha. If anyone has seen the Hasc 18 concert DVD you will know he looks nothing like that anymore. Shloime Dach’s advertisements are just as bad, he looks like he just got out of kollel, that picture has to be years old. Then we have the Gabay picture, which isn’t that old. But it’s the SAME (and seemingly only) picture that is ever used.

In this age of digital technology, the artists can’t have updated head shots? Or at least have someone take an update picture of them and email it to the concert promoter? How about a little originality or creativity. At this point I’d even settle for a current photo that’s taken after the year 2000.
